Unfortunately, I never met Bud Ogle, but every time I have visited Wood Mountain the Ogle family has been very kind to me; and I send my condolances.

I saw Bud at an event a few years ago and he asked me if I wanted to meet for coffee at Hoy's in the morning, funniest thing I've heard in years. Bud was a Wood Mountain Icon, the world needs more Bud Ogles.

I remember , as a kid, Bud teasing me, in Dorothy Demich’s store in Wood Mountain when Dad and I were dropping off the cream cans and he and Butch and George Rotariou and Victor Hysuick we’re having coffee . I didn’t see him for 35 years and ran into him in Assiniboia a few years back and he chuckled and said, remember when I used to tease you in Demich’s store... RIP Gentle Giant .. You’ll be missed by many.
