Gilda was born in Atlanta, Georgia to parents Anthony Bertoni and Ether Davis on December 10, 1927. Gilda was a proud native of Atlanta. She always exuded her public opinion regarding her passion involving Political Science and Governmental studies and committed her career to serving as a legal typist for the Army and the Marine Corps. She achieved retirement status from the United States Internal Revenue Service.
Gilda absolutely loved taking candid photographs of her family and friends, often at the most inopportune times. Her sense of humor was adored by everyone. She always had a camera in hand ready to go. Gilda always had a big smile on her face and consistently found a friend in everyone she met. She absolutely loved the Atlanta Braves. Claudell would hit a homerun seemingly every time she attended a game at the stadium when she would yell out “HIT IT CLAUDELL!” Priceless.
Her beloved husband, Luke Wayne Scott, her sister Alda Nalley, and her brother Dennis Burton preceded Gilda in death.
Gilda is survived by her daughter, Vickie Leithner, sister, Lois Smith, niece, Debbie Nalley
McLelland, granddaughter Holley Towns, and great grandchildren, Christopher Brock and Lauren Brock.
