

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, died peacefully December 1, surrounded by her loving family. A resident of Atlanta, she was 89. Mrs. Williams was born in Columbia, SC., the eighth child of eleven children. She and her husband lived in Kentucky and Colorado, before being transferred to Atlanta, in 1958, with Equifax. Lucy had a gift for loving children and was a volunteer with Fellowship Mission, near the Atlanta Stadium, for over 50 years. She retired as Director of The Mission, at age 87. She was honored by the Channel 11 Community Service Award in 1992, for her service to Fellowship Mission. Lucy was the first woman President of the Fulton County Grand Jury Association. She was a long time member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church. Lucy traveled the world with family and friends. Besides celebrating her own 89th birthday recently, Lucy was able to help her sister celebrate her 93rd birthday in Anderson, SC. Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Earl W. Williams and son in law, David W. Anthony, Sr., she is survived by: son and daughter in law, Robert D. and Gloria Williams, Marietta, daughter, Susan W. Anthony, Loganville, son Richard C. Williams, Louisville, Ky., Grandchildren and their spouses, Lee and John Burke, Susanne and John Crowe, Walter and Christy Anthony, Erica Williams, great-grandchildren, John and Michael Burke, sister, Pauline Johnson, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Sunday, December 4th at 3 o’clock at Wieuca Road Baptist Church Chapel. Private family interment services will be held. The family will receive visitors Saturday, December 3rd from 1 to 3 o’clock at H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30319.
