Mario is survived by his wife of 37 years, LouAnne; daughters and sons-in-law Dina Landi and Geoff Gray, of Santa Barbara; and Danette Landi Warren and Eric Warren, of Weimar. Also survived by: father and stepmother Leo and Mary Ann Landi; brother Dino Landi; nieces and nephews Jerrod Landi, Vince Landi, Dustin Brown, Caitlin Willette, Brooke Lord and Brandon Stancil. He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlette Frye.
Mario was born in Paso Robles, California and also lived in Daly City before moving to Auburn in 1971. He graduated from Placer High School in 1973. Mario sold real estate and held his broker’s license with Keller Williams. He was an avid NASCAR fan and racing enthusiast. He was an amazing husband and Dad, coaching his daughters and girls’ softball for over 15 years. Family was the most important thing in his life. He was the master at the BBQ, forever the host of family events. Those who came in contact with Mario experienced the joy of his infectious laugh and his big bear hugs. Their lives were touched and their days were brightened, always being reminded that, “life is wonderful!”
Mario lived a large and zealous life! A celebration will be held at The Ridge Golf Club, 2020 Golf Course Road, Auburn, CA 95602 Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. This will be a time of remembrance, a time to share memories, and a time of joy to commemorate Mario’s extraordinary life.
