George Charles Carpenter

George C. Carpenter, of Rochester Hills, passed away on Dec. 29, 2018 at the age of 77. He was born in Pontiac, MI on Aug. 13, 1941 to his loving parents George W. and Georgina Carpenter. He went to school at Avondale High School before going to work at General Motors in fleet maintenance. He married his beloved wife Marilyn Carpenter on October 25, 2014. He was a proud member of the United Auto Workers. After finishing a long day at his job working with cars, he would go home to his favorite hobby, fixing and restoring cars.

George is survived by his wife; his adored children Michael (Teri) Carpenter, Kris (Tim Beebe) Taylor, Rich (Amy) Carpenter, Carrie (Tim Stricker) Carpenter and stepson Scott Russell; his grandchildren Ken, Rob, Rena, Mike, Brittany, and Mathew; his great-grandchildren Travis, Connor, Landon, Caitlin, Gabriel, Avery, Colt, Elliot, Mayson; and his step-grandchildren Ben Walle and Jess Walle.

Services will be held at Pixley Funeral Home located at 3530 Auburn Rd. Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Visitation will be on Wednesday Jan 2, 2019 from 2PM to 7PM. Services will be held on Thursday Jan 3, 2019 at 11AM with a short viewing at 10AM.

The family is asking that any donations be made, in memory of George Carpenter, to the American Cancer Institute.
