I was blessed by Martha & Joe 34 years ago coming from Florida to live with them in Texas. Martha set an example of being a mother and wife. I would not be here today without her love. She was the rock of the household. I am forever grateful for the generosity she gave me which allowed me to find and marry my husband and have a family of my own!! Rest in peace!

Aunt Martha was there for a lot of "FIRST" in my life. Like the time the mom's were shopping for a swimsuit for me (I'm 10y/o) and Aunt Martha is set on this cute bikini. She finally convinced my mom to let me wear a bikini for the first time.
She was there for my first bra, my first heartbreak and shes the first person I saw when I arrived at Baylor E.R. Aug '88. Aunt Martha planned/coordinated my wedding & reception (Sept '88) not even a month after the passing of my mom / her sister. She did a beautiful and excellent job!
Right after that, she moved to Texas and we mostly lost touch. I think the last time I heard her voice was 2004. It was day after the Hurricane/Tornado in Lakeland. (I got her number from uncle Calvin) Her and I talked for hours. She told me she remarried and God blessed her with a man who was very, very good to her and so happy together.
I believe God will redeem all the times I've missed with Aunt Martha. Family is important.
Scott, Tony, Kenny and Shae;
I Love you'll. Praying peace and comfort over your families. I know this isn't easy for you guys. I'm sorry I couldn't be there hugging your necks, crying, sharing funny memories. Know I've been doing that anyway alone. I always Love
you! Sherry Renea Alspaugh
