Cedes loved God and devoted her life to her family and church. She was a beloved Sunday school teacher and loved to play piano and sing for the church. Her many talents included gardening, crocheting, quilting, crafts and her amazing cooking. She was a member of the Ridge Community Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Frank Cobia. She is survived by her brother Rev. Kirby Thompson and sister-in-law Virginia Thompson; her children: Jim Cobia, Margaret Tanner and son-in-law Lonnie Tanner, and Joyce Cobia.
Affectionately know as "Mema," she is also survived by her grandsons Steven Tanner (Eli) and Kyle Cobia (Liana) and her granddaughter Crystal Floyd (Casey) and 8 great-grandchildren: Aiden, Jaxon, Tyler, Dylan, Caleb, Cora, Logan and Luke.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM followed by a service celebrating Cedes' life at 11:00 AM at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 2198 K-Ville Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823.
