Carlos was known as "JC" to the Phoenix Clan, "Carlos" to friends and family, and "Juan" by everyone else.
Carlos touched everyone's heart- sometimes with his crazy knowledge of baseball and football, including knowing who played for whom and ability to cite individual stats. Carlos also played a mean game of poker, was a talented artist, and an amazing cook. Most recently, Carlos wrote to our Tia Mary that "with time, I am emerging myself with law and reading in the law library. I am learning about investing and real estate. Having deprived myself of higher education, I am studying for my real estate exam. I just completed the first two chapters on finance and learned about the various forms of interest and how to arrive at present value in order to appraise income property."
Carlos is survived by his daughter, Idalis Patricia, his mother, Norma, his brother, David, his father, Alvaro, and so many more cousins, aunts, and uncles. Carlos had family in Austin, El Paso, Laredo, Phoenix, Fort Collins, and Kansas.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue.
