Annie Mae Stramler

January 13, 1927December 2, 2018

Annie Mae Walker Stramler, went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2018. She was born on January 13, 1927 in Kopperl, Texas to Jerome and Josie Walker. She graduated from Kopperl High School. After graduating, she came to Austin. She got a job with Southwestern Bell, where she worked for 11 years.

Annie married Alvin Stramler on May 5, 1949, with this union they had 2 children Sandra and Kenneth. When the children got older Annie worked for Austin ISD for 24 years. After Annie retired, she drove for the care givers to help the elderly for 5 years. She enjoyed helping others. Annie will be missed by her family and friends.

Annie is preceded in death by her husband Alvin of 58 years in 2007 and her son Kenneth in 2000 also her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Annie is survived by her daughter Sandra, one granddaughter Michelle A. Collins-Reyes and grand son-in-law Xavier J. Reyes and her great-grandson Andrew X. Reyes whom she loved spending time with the most.

The family wants to thank Park Bend Nursing Home, doctors and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Drive, Austin, Texas 78731.
