Aubrey Lee Kitchens

Aubrey Lee Kitchens born 23 October 1930 to Dolly "Tate" Kitchens and Lee Roy Kitchens in Austin Texas. Graduated from Austin High School in 1948. Attended University of Texas, after separating from the United States Marine Corps. Proudly served his country from 1952 till 1954 in the Korea Conflict with 1st Mar. Div. 1st CBE’s. He was a member of the North Austin Optimist Club where he mentored/coached youth in baseball and football. Retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years and was a member of the National Letters Carriers Association.

He preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy Kitchens and Dolly Tate Kitchens, and his brothers, William and Jerome Kitchens of Austin, Texas.

He is survived by his family members, wife Imogene Kitchens, Sons, Aubrey Lee Kitchens Jr. and wife Debbie of Billings, Montana, Rex A. Kitchens, and wife Michelle, of Leander, Texas, sister's Cleo Delz and Barbara Lawler both from Austin Texas. Grandchildren Courtney Kitchens, Slidell Louisiana, Kayla Kitchens, New Braunfels Texas, Cole Kitchens of Austin, Texas and Joey Kitchens of Billings, Montana.

Aubrey was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, uncle and a friend to many.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Crestview Baptist Church, 7600 Woodrow Avenue, Austin, Texas 78757. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas.
