I've know the Longacres' all my life.

They used to live in Palo Alto, CA and moved to Austin, TX when I was still in grade school.

Broke my heart to see them move because I love this family as if they were my own.

We have stayed in touch (phone, email, etc.) and have seen the Longacres' in person over the years, about 45 years.

Mrs. Barbara Longacre was an: amazing, loving, caring, funny, social, inviting, lovely person.  There are so many more positives to say about her, the list is endless. We need more like her to be a part of our lives and inhabit this Earth.  She brought so much love and joy to me and others. If you crossed paths with her, consider yourself blessed. She was one in a million and I will miss her immensely.

I hope I am not out of line here... But, she lived/suffered with Alzheimer's and it broke my heart to be informed of this unforgiving disease.  May a cure be found some day soon.

When the day comes of my passing, I know I will be rejoined with Barbara Longacre and other loved ones and I will get to see her again in spirit.

She is loved and missed!
