Jackson died January 12, 2006. He was born to Elizabeth Campbell Jackson and Will H. Jackson on June 25th 1919 in Austin, Texas. Bill was a traveling Hardware sales representative for the Walter Tips Company for 46 years. He served in WWII in the U.S. Navy for four and a half years. He was a survivor of the 4th Marine Division Assault and Capture of Iwo Jima beginning on February 19th 1945. Bill is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Bobby Jenkins and grandsons, Robert Jenkins and Will Jenkins and wife Cindy, all of Bastrop; three great-grandchildren, Allie, Jackson, and Taylor; daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and George Morgan; grandson, Christopher Gee of Austin. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Austin Memorial Park, conducted by The Reverend Len Giacolone, pastor of St. Francis Episcopal Church.
