Billy D. Chandler, of Austin, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 11 PM on October 4, 2012, at the age of 76, after suffering from a short illness. Billy was born in Jacksonville, Texas on February 2, 1936. He attended and graduated from the Texas School for the Blind. He worked and retired as a business owner of various cafeterias and vending operations. Bill Chandler was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, as well as a great friend to all who knew him, and will be missed tremendously. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie Chandler, son Michael Chandler, daughter Debby Chandler, daughter-in-law Melissa Chandler and grandchildren Joshua Chandler, Rachell Chandler and Daniel Chandler.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Saturday, the 6th of October 2012, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 7th of October, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden.
He is survived by wife Marie Chandler, Daughter Debra Chandler, Son Michael Chandler, Wife Melissa Chandler, grandchildren Joshua Chandler, Rachell Chandler Danile Chandler, brothers Sam Chandler, J.D. Chandler, W.T. Chandler, Lonnie Chandler, and Hugh Chandler, and numreous nieces and nephews,
he is preceded in death by parents Josie and Homer Chandler, Sisters, Gertie Liles, Lola Folmar, Linda Teague, and brothers Doyle Chandler, Robert Chandler, and Freddy Chandler
Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
