Judith Robison Arldt

Judy passed peacefully at home on April 4, 2021. She was born March 8, 1940 to Erna and Howard Robison in Akron, Ohio. She was baptized and confirmed at the age of 15.

She was a teacher/principal when she met her husband, an Aviation Electrician’s Mate, in Hawaii in 1963. After raising her two children she went back to school and earned her B.A. in Education and continued in the teaching field. She taught Pre-K at Hope Lutheran until retirement.

Judy enjoyed reading and was a member of a book club. She was involved in many Bible study groups and went to church whenever possible. She taught Sunday school – including starting a two year old class.

Judy was an active member of LWML and a 50 year member of the National Association of Letter Carrier’s Auxiliary. It seemed that she never met a stranger, and had many friends. She loved working puzzle books. Judy helped to print Braille books for many years, and helped with Caregivers as a driver. She was a history buff and enjoyed traveling to the Presidential Libraries in order to feed this interest.

She is preceded in death by her parents Erna and Howard Robison Sr, and her sisters Annabel, Elizabeth, Mary, and Joanne. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Frank, and children Linda (Don) Becker and James (Laura) Arldt, her brother Howard Jr., and many nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Friday April 9, 2021 from 1pm-5pm at Cook-Walden Funeral Home on Lamar. Because of Covid-19 family will not be present. Funeral service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church (1500 W. Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas 78757) on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10:00am. A visitation will be held before the service, from 9:00am -10:00am on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, please send a memorial to Redeemer Lutheran Church or a charity or your choice.
