Connie was born on December 27, 1955 to Jose A. Reyes and Prima V. Reyes in Quezon City, Philippines. After graduating from Philippines Sun Yat Sen High School, she went on to study nursing at Ortanez School of Nursing. Connie later acquired her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Arellano University. After graduation, she landed her first job at Polymedic Hospital as a nurse.
In 1974, she met Arnold, and they wed in 1984 going on to have 2 children, Sheena Marie and Marc Angelo. When Connie had Sheena and Marc, she dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Connie excelled at lifting up her family and supporting them through many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was helping raise her grandchildren with Sheena while she was a single mother, or helping Marc get through nursing school, she made it a mission to improve the lives of others.
Connie was passionate about serving her fellow brothers and sisters. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found encouraging others to serve with her. As a natural born leader she would lead others by carrying out medical missions for the Philippines Nurses Association of America Cameron County, and she would selflessly use her time to help the less fortunate through the Rotary Club of Manila San Miguel.
Connie was predeceased by her parents Jose A. Reyes and Prima V. Reyes, her older brother Oscar Mamilo Reyes, her older sister Rosalinda Reyes and her grand-daughter Cameron Lynn Clavo. She is survived by her husband Arnold, daughter Sheena, son Marc, grand daughters Sarah, Jasmine and Dahlia.
