Mildred L. Johnston

Mildred was born in Crowder, Mississippi on January 26, 1924. Mildred went to school in Crowder and Batesville, Mississippi.

When she was 20 she joined the Army and proudly served her country.

Mildred did many things including working for Firestone, AT&T and finally for Austin Bowl-A-Rama. She was very focused on her family and values were very important to her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alvin Johnston, in 1991 and her daughter, Dottie, in 2000. Mildred is survived by her son Eric Johnston and his partner Zach Cochran.

Mildred received outstanding care at Brodie Ranch Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center while she was there. The staffs love for their chosen profession shows.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas with military honors.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Austin.
