Meeting Barbara at the Presbyterian Church was the beginning of many special times together! From the Senior Lunch; church service (then the coffee hour afterwards) and many events held there; raffles; cookie sale; tea party; and most of all, I still vision her in the Thrift Store - I would stop by and help once-in-a-while. These times were special, because of Myrill; Paul; and Frank (who ran everything). Their presence were always felt! Myrill made me feel comfortable from the first time I met her, several years ago! I looked forward to seeing Barbara S. and Barbara M. at the thrift store! Frank always helped set up everything - hard work, but he made it seem easy!
The choir and Leonora playing the organ - (when Pastor Karen was there) - was like an EVENT in itself, plus the sermon - no longer to be! However, I am grateful for all the fun years we all shared together there!
Barbara, many time I'd want to assist her - it was a force of habit when I did that with my own mother. She didn't want any help - she was STRONG and TOUGH - which I admired about her!
I remember always looking out for the SCAT BUS - her transportation from her home and back.
One of our last times together was at the 70th Birthday for Catherine Rodriguez (two years ago)!
My three favorite people - now together again! Barbara M. and Margaret Slawson - I always looked forward to seeing them and the love they excelled - they were also STRONG and TOUGH!
THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES - YOU WILL ALWAYS HOLD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART!
Now you are a Guardian Angel - another beautiful flower in the "garden of heaven"!
Love,
Patricia C.
