James C. Arena

James “Jim” Arena, 75, of Lindenhurst, New York, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, after a brave battle with cancer.

Jim was born October 1, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, to Lawrence and Madeline Arena. He married the former Patricia Pykowski on July 7, 1962; she passed away on May 24, 1989. Jim worked as a bank manager for Manufacturers Hanover Trust for more than 25 years. Following his retirement, he enjoyed his remaining years spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing cards, and watching baseball and football games, rooting for the Mets and NY Giants.

He leaves behind his brokenhearted family – his daughter Donna and her husband Michael, his son Lawrence and his wife Charlene, and his son James and his wife Terre; his grandson Evan, his granddaughter Taylor, and step-grandchildren Brendan, Megan, and Shannon; his brother Alphonse and his wife Annette, and his brother Lawrence and his wife Barbara; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jim also leaves behind his lady love of 23 years, Kathy Partridge; her daughter Denise and husband Tom; her daughter Kerilyn and husband Tom; and her grandchildren Karin, Thomas, Lisa and Michael.

Jim was a loving father, grandfather, and friend – a man who will be greatly missed.

Dear Donna, Lawrence, James and families,
I am Kathy's cousin and have had the honor of knowing your dad the past 20years.Jim was always kind and gentle, and accepted all of us "cousins" as his family. It is a great loss for all of us.
May God bless him and may you find comfort in your memories.
