Dear Kathy, Irv and Family,
Mike & I are deeply saddened by the loss of your mom, (Aunt Martha) but we are so proud to have been a small part of her life with Uncle Irv and the both of you. Aunt Martha had a heart larger than life, a smile that would light up a room and all of the wonderful photos you have shared with us show the enormity of her unending love for her family and friends.

We will treasure the memories we shared with her, her thoughtful ways and we will miss her annual Christmas cards. The love she had for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will live on through all of you. She and Uncle Irv will continue to watch over you all.

May the Lord comfort you at this time, knowing that your Mom & Dad are back in each other's loving arms.
Much love to you all,

Donna, Mike, Ryan, Drew and Dan

Dear Irv,

Just wanted you to know that I just read about your mom’s passing and I will be lifting your family up in prayer. May God strengthen your family as you navigate the emotional days ahead. I saw Jeff’s comments and they capture the beauty of a strong family. What a beautiful legacy!

Condolences and comfort to you all,

Aunt Martha,
Me (& Kenny too) remember the times you came to visit Mom & Dad in upstate New York for our graduation parties. It was so fun having you and Uncle Irv around. You were both so appreciative of the good food ( Uncle Irv always smacked his lips together and we would all giggle at him when he did that!) and you so enjoyed seeing all of the family up here. It was good that Kathleen and Irv got to come with you too because they were so fun to hang out with. We all got along so well even when we didn't get to see each other often. Instant friendships and family bonding were made (as it should be)! Aunt Martha you were always so so sweet. You were also so beautiful. I remember your hair was always fixed so nicely too.
Ken & I truly enjoyed receiving your annual Christmas cards. You lived such a full long life. You will be missed, may you rest in peace. God Bless
With our love, Kathleen and Ken

Aunt Martha was a staple in my life. I have always felt so blessed to call her my Aunt, and be a part of your loving family in such a special way. So, so, so many memories of GREAT vacations spent at her home, where she made me fell like my home, as well as adventures out of state where her and Uncle Irvy always joined me, mom and dad. Among so many other gatherings we all had with our large family, time after time for so many years. All be far away, she was never out of my heart and mind - quickly followed by a smile and warm feelings throughout. Now my eyes are filled with tears.

My thoughts and prayers and tears and laughs and sorriness are with you Kathy and Lil Irv. Love you all very much.

Your cousin,
Marguerite

My memories of Miss Martha are all the same- a smile, a friendly welcome, a kind word... and when I was a kid, cookies too. She and Mr. Irv were the same that way, generous in their kindness and hospitality, and they passed it down to Kathleen and Irv, who have passed it on to their kids. She and Mr. Irv were, and still are, role models for me in what it means to be great parents... to put family ahead of everything else, to have love and character be the highest virtue. Their values were that we can give our children nothing more precious than our love and our time, and they lived that way. I remember well the love in Mr. Irv's voice when he would call, "Hey Mas..." My sadness today is softened knowing that Mr. Irv and Miss Martha are together again.

I know the strength of the family that has been left behind. I know that the tears are flowing and hearts are broken. I know that a life so well lived, by someone so well loved, will be celebrated; and there will be stories, and jokes, and hugs, all mixed in with the tears and sorrow. That is all as it should be. A few more years would have been nice, Miss Martha. But goodbye, and thank you. You've touched my life and left a legacy of love through how you lived, and through Irv, and Kathleen; through all of your grandchildren and great grandchildren; and through the countless people blessed by your love through the years.

With much love to you, and to all your family,
Jeff Drake
