Donald R. May, 68, of Bartlett, TN passed away August 2, 2018.

He was a 29 year military veteran by serving in the United States Army, Army National Guard, and the Army Reserves. He worked for the City of Memphis for 20 years at MLGW, The City of Arlington, and Shelby County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mason and Sybol May.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Gaskins-May; his daughters, Donna Carpenter (Steve) and Carol Avery (Chris); grandchildren, Brandon Cain, Tyler Ogden, Sara Grogan; and great-grandchildren, Liam Michael Cain and Madelyn Paige Cain.

Family will receive friends from 9:00am to 10:00am on Thursday, August 9th, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 10:00am. A reception will be afterwards from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Burial will be at 2:00pm at the West Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery.
