EVA MARIA SLADEN (née KNAKE), born 6th November 1929, in Warsaw, Poland, passed away Saturday 9th December 2023, peacefully, at her home of 43 years, in Memphis, Tennessee, surrounded by her loved ones.
Adored and devoted Nanna of Kristi, Tim, Brian and Steph; darling mother of Sandy and Janet; loyal and loving wife of Brian for a stunning 71 years; shining light to her beloved extended Polish family and unwavering friend to the many she met on her well-travelled journey through life.
Her beautiful smile, loving kindness, endearing cheekiness, robust intelligence and, of course, her always warm hospitality will be hugely missed by us all. A Funeral Service will be held for Eva on Thursday, 28th December 2023 at 12 noon at St Philip Episcopalians Church, 9380 Davies Plantation Rd, Bartlett, TN 38133.
Friends are welcome to join the family to celebrate Eva's life at a reception after the service at the Church.
