Sue was the daughter of the late Pearl Stewart Cochran and Vaudie Cochran. She joins her husband John W. Freeze after being apart from him for some seven years, but married to him for over 71 years. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Gene Cochran.
She leaves her beloved children, Sylvia Freeze Clements (Russ), Winfred Lynn Feeze (Della); five grandchildren, John Freeze, Joe Freeze, Lynde Freeze, Jim Clements, Leigh Anne Nalbone, and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Sue was a wonderful lady and an example of a daughter, wife, and matriarch of the family, loyal friend and devout Christian. She and John attended Schoolfield United Methodist Church for over 60 years until moving to Scenic Hills Methodist. They were involved in all of the activities of their church, Masonic Orders, and family gatherings for well over seventy years. Sue raised her children in an excellent family environment. She loved gardening, fishing, crafts, traveling, and cooking all of the family’s favorite foods on special occasions. When family reunions were held, she always had a hand in organizing them and supporting both sides of her family.
There was never a day that went by that she was not with John in her mind, even after his passing. She endeavored to enjoy life, and made many new friends at her new home at Kirby Pines. Every year she had the opportunity to grow the best tomatoes on her patio and share them with family and friends. She was dearly loved by those who knew her at Kirby Pines.
She gave herself to all that she knew, and she was loved by all that knew her! She was at times, plain spoken and indeed, always told things that she felt in her heart.
God has graced everyone who knew her with something special that cannot be removed by her passing but will always be in their hearts and minds forever.
Sorely missed, but glad to KNOW that she is with John and our Lord.
