I am so sorry for your loss.I only knew Shelba since she was in Rosewood at the same time as my Mother, Charlotte Gilmer, but she was a very nice lady. She always "fussed" over her hair and whether her earrings matched her outfit and she always had to have her purse!
She will be missed at Rosewood and by a lot of peoplearning.
Prayers to your family.

Sympathy, Prayers to all upon the loss of 'Shelba Jean'. Her Dad, 'Rev Coulter' was assigned to our church in Bethany Il, so we met Gwen and the kids, with Shelba being our age/in our class. What fun times we had both at church and at school are really too many to even list but rest assured we all had such great times together....then sadly the Methodist church moved him to the E. Peoria UMC when we all were going into HS. (she told us years later how mad she'd been at her Dad for taking her away from her school friends!) BUT we girls/classmates after a few years started having 'slumber parties' again after our 'babies' were older and we had time to all get together. Shelba was with us at some of these gatherings and we learned quickly she actually missed her calling of 'stand-up comedy' and her material was her family!
She was the most joy to us as well as her entire family to my (McKinney) family at Bethany UMC. She will be missed and never forgotten.
Blessings of Memories to you all! Love and Prayers, Sandy & Jerry Friesner

I was probably the first person in East Peoria to meet Shelba-her folks were transferred to the Methodist Church the summer of our 8th grade. She was my "Maid of honor "in my first wedding, 2 of each of our children were born weeks apart. So many happy memories and a few tears along the way.We will all be together in heaven, and sing our hearts out like old times.I will miss you dear friend.
