Doris and family,

The word "gentleman" gets tossed around fairly casually these days. Yet something in Mr. Hall said "gentle-man" to me each time I visited him. Thank you, Doris, for sharing your life partner with us at hospice, and for sharing so many of your stories. You are living witnesses to God's love.

Worshipers in our church sang this song today, a paraphrase from Isaiah 43, one of the scripture readings today. The song "You Are Mine" is a favorite of mine; may this verse bring you comfort.

"Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine"

I'm very sorry to hear the news. Mr. Hall was a very friendly person to me and always spoke to me when he saw me as well as Mrs. Hall. I always saw them both working in the yard or garden as I drove up Blackberry RD. He will be strongly missed and our prayers go out to the family.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this time. May God comfort you all through the difficult times now and in the time to come. I know he was a very hard worker and was always outside working. I'll miss seeing him out when I come over to nannies!!

Love Always,
