James Walter Bousman

Walter Bousman, 84 of Ridgeway, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday November 18,2018. He was born in Franklin Co., on July 17, 1934 to the late Tip Z. Bousman and Bertha Davis Bousman. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather and Uncle. He served in the Army from 1954 to 1957 with an honorable discharge. Also, he was owner and operator of Walter’s Body shop of 50 plus years. He was an active member of Hill Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Lydia B. Helms, and four bothers Morton Bousman, Dolphes Bousman, Price Bousman and Carlton Bousman.

Surviving is his Loving wife of 60 years Elaine Vaughan Bousman. Two sons; Tip Bousman wife Chassie, Jimmy Bousman and special friend Diane Bradford. Three grandchildren; James Bousman, Zebedee Bousman and Tabitha Jenkins and husband Daniel. Three great grandchildren Aleah, Ariel, and Layla Jenkins, and numerous nieces and nephews. Thank you Mt. Valley Hospice employees and Team Nurse for their loving care. Services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Hill Memorial Baptist Church, 2359 Appalachian Dr., Martinsville, VA at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett, Va from 6-8 PM.
