Aline “Ann” Colligan Phistry was born to William J. and Margarite Alisce Colligan on June 21, 1947 in Baton Rouge, LA. She graduated from Istrouma High School, was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, and worked for Sears and Roebuck for 30 years until she retired. Later in life, Ann became an active member of the Council on Aging in Central. Ann absolutely loved sports and cheering on the LSU Tigers, but she especially loved cheering on her four grandsons at their football, basketball, soccer, and baseball games. She never missed an opportunity to watch them play and show her support. Nor did she miss the dance recitals of her only precious granddaughter. Ann was known for taking pictures of everything everywhere to capture all the important memories. After 75 beautiful years with her loved ones, Ann passed away on November 28, 2022. Those left to share all the memories include her husband, Philip G. Phistry Jr of Baton Rouge; daughter, Gina Phistry Smiley (Terry Jr.); son, Ryan Phistry (Angel); grandchildren, Justin Smiley (Carlee), Austin Smiley (fiancée’ Mary Catherine Gillespie), Sammy Smiley, Blake and Breanna Phistry; brothers, William J. “Will” Colligan Jr. and Billy Winebrenner (Doris); and godchildren, Barbara Heil, Mike Colligan and Michael Colligan. Ann has rejoined her parents; her son, Philip G. “Trey” Phistry; her brothers, Tommy Colligan Sr. and Patrick Colligan; and her parents-in-law, Philip G. Phistry Sr. and Olivia Phistry. Visitation for Ann’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 6th at 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Garden of Memories.
