Passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 82 in Pensacola, Florida.
She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana born on June 29, 1941, to the parents of Donald J. Murphy and Marie E. Neff Murphy.
She was a graduate of Loyola University and after teaching school in New Orleans moved to Baton Rouge in 1974, taking up a successful career in the State Department of Louisiana DHHR.
Barbara is survived by her son Brandon S. Barenis , grandson Brandon S. Barenis II and her daughter in law Barbara G. Barenis .
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 10am-11am with a funeral service to begin at 11am at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70815
