Chevis C. Boone Sr.

Chevis C. Boone, Sr., age 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. He was the loving husband of Claudia P. Boone. Chevis was born in 1938, to his parents, the late Travis and Bertha Boone. He was the devoted father to Stephanie Boone Campbell (Tony) and Chevis C. Boone, Jr. (Tammy) and the stepfather to Maria Midboe and Mark Midboe (Tanya). He was the loving grandfather to Cody, Colt, Carson and Cassidy Midboe, Travis LeBlanc (Tonya), Cortnie and T.J. Campbell, Chevis C. Boone, III (Carlie) and Chelsea Gillespie (Jacob). Chevis is also survived by numerous Great-grandchildren and the brother to 9 siblings.

Chevis proudly served in the United States Navy as a 3rd Class Petty Officer before being honorably discharged in 1962. He began his career with Dow Chemical and later became a business owner in the contracting industry, where he was able to share his love of woodworking. Chevis eventually retired from Marriott as a Project Manager. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing golf, volunteering with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, and coaching his daughter’s softball team.

Chevis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Burial will be private.
