"A native of Albany, LA and a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018, at the age of 92 surrounded by her loved ones. Goldie was also a long-time retired Guest House facility administrator and also worked as a lab technician at the Old Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She's preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William Byron Hudson Jr.; parents, Rev. Alexander Bartus and Goldie Szekely Bartus; and siblings: Eugene "Gene" Bartus, Joseph "Joe" Bartus, Louis Bartus, Alexander "Alex" Bartus and Bette "Margaret" Bartus. She is survived by her children: Jane Hudson Cash and husband Gary, Byron Hudson and wife Stacy Hubbard Hudson, and Carol Hudson; seven grandchildren: Jeremy Cash and wife Candace, Jessica Wascom, Melanie Cash Holland and husband David Holland, Alec Hudson, Erika Hudson, Elise Hudson and Cade Hudson; and three great grandchildren: Joshua Stratton, Jase Stratton and Sandor Cash. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, from 6pm until 8pm, and will resume on Thursday at Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church, 30767 Hungarian Presbyterian Church Road, at 9:30am until service at 10:30, conducted by Rev. Don Thursby. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
