Joseph George Reine, Sr.

Joseph George Reine, Sr., a loving father and grandfather and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on April 10, 2015 at home with his family at the age of 89. Known as “pop” or “dad” by his children, “Paw Paw” by his grandchildren and “Mr. Joe” by his friends and extended family, Joseph was an honest and sweet-spirited man who cared deeply for those he loved. Never afraid of hard work, Joseph gave his time and energy generously to others around him. He enjoyed the simplicity of life as he cherished things such as holding his great-grandchildren in his lap, spending time in his home, working in his garden, or sitting on a swing. Joseph is survived by his 4 children, Joe Reine, Jr. and wife Janet Reine, Paul Reine and wife Pamela Reine, Ernest Reine, and Kathleen Martin and husband Randy Martin; his 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Joseph is preceded in death by his loving wife, Irene Catherine Reine; his parents Edna Reine and George Reine; his sister Gertrude Roppolo and brother Mervin Reine. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
