Katherine Janet Juneau passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the age of 84. She was a native of Mansura, LA, and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Katherine was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and beloved Mimi who was an excellent fourth grade teacher. She was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a member of the Women’s Auxiliary to The Knights of Columbus. She loved traveling and was proud of the fact she visited all 50 states. She especially enjoyed visiting her Canadian friends, and numerous European vacations. Special times for her included chatting on the phone, attending LSU football games, reading, and gardening. Bridge and Pokeno were among her favorite activities. But above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Katherine is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Richard “Dick” Juneau; children, Lisa Mohr (Jeff) and Jill Curtis (Glenn); grandchildren, Michael Mohr, Brittany Hunter (Philip), Meagan Huff (Tim), Nicholas Curtis (Alex) and Jacob Curtis (Kaylee); great-grandchildren, James Hunter, Rory and Avery Curtis; brothers, Kenneth and Bryant Janet; and a host of other loving family members and friends. Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Zepher Janet. Visitation will be at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Rd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 9:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.
