Milicent Stassi Kopfinger, age 94, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. Milicent was born May 9, 1927 in Plaquemine, LA. In her early life she established the Medical Library for Touro Infirmary in New Orleans, LA. She was a member of Baton Rouge Stamp Club; a volunteer with the Cancer Services of Baton Rouge; a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church; a volunteer with Friends of the LSU Libraries; a docent for BREC Zoo and the Louisiana Arts and Science Museum; a volunteer with the Symphony League; a member of SYN Club; a member of the EBR Parish Medical Auxiliary; and an avid golfer and bridge player. She taught children with reading problems at St. John Catholic School in Many, LA. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dr. Victor B. Sr. and Mildred Rein Stassi; son, Mark David Kopfinger; husband, Dr. John A. Kopfinger, Sr.; brothers, Victor B. Stassi, Jr. and Jack E. Stassi.
She is survived by her 5 children, John A. Kopfinger, Jr. (Maricarmen), Philip A. Kopfinger (Karen), Adrienne Kaiser (Charles), Caroline Odom (Ben), and Peter A. Kopfinger (Tiffany); 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A private family service has been requested. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Services of Baton Rouge. Rabenhorst is in charge of services.
