Rudolph, a loving husband and father, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Hospice of Baton Rouge at age 83. Born Dec. 14, 1924, in Lakeland, he grew up in Baton Rouge and graduated from Catholic High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a retired Copolymer employee. He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Beverly Poirier Pourciau; five children and their spouses, Charles and Janet Anderson, Rudolph Jr. and Becky Pourciau, Mark Pourciau, Peggy Ebbert and Warren and Marianne Pourciau; 11 grandchildren, Terri Blair, Cindy Thornton, Adrain Pourciau, Marcie Carline, Doug Pourciau, Meridith Pourciau, Jeremy Pourciau, Ashlee Simpson, Krystal Pourciau, Katelyn Pourciau and RaeAnn Ebbert; eight great-grandchildren, Tabitha, Travis and Timothy Blair, Jerian, Justin and Jordan Myers, Brooke Thornton and Kole Carline; a sister, Helen Mayers; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile Arthur Pourciau and Honorine Villetta Guerin Pourciau; two brothers, Joseph and Lester Pourciau; four sisters, Ethel Guerin, Laura David, Iris Dranguet and Sadie Peyronnin; his daughter-in-law, Margo Pourciau; and his son-in-law, Michael Ebbert. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., was on Sunday, Jan. 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting resumes at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 749 East Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 14, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Monsignor Berggreen, celebrant. Burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory&Mausoleum, 11817 Jefferson Highway. Pallbearers will be Adrian, Doug and Jeremy Pourciau, Dale Hidalgo, Gerald Laird and Tommy Poirier.
