OBITUARY

Mary Ross Bolmanskie

July 10, 1918July 31, 2019

Mary Ross Bolmanskie was born in Seabrook, Tx to Robert Brummerhop and Emma Henry on July 10, 1918 and entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2019. After graduating from high school, Mary met then married Lawrence Paul Bolmanskie. They remained married for 60 years before his passing. The two enjoyed their children, square dancing and spending time with family and friends. Mary went on many trips with the grandmother’s club and city trips often telling of visiting every state in the United States, usually by bus. She also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes at the civic center several times a week. Though she liked the company, these were serious games to her. She taught each of her grandchildren to play many card games. She was always willing to sit with them to play games or work a puzzle. Mary was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Baytown, attending services and working in many garage sales. Anyone who knew Mary, knew of her love of cooking. She was an amazing cook making everything from scratch. Not only was her food delicious, it looked picture perfect! Trying to get a recipe from her was a little bit of a challenge. She would tell you what was in it, what it should look and feel like when mixed and how to tell when it was done – no measurements, no temperature and no time! Mary loved her family. She prepared many meals that were enjoyed by family around the table, and as the family grew, around several tables and scattered around the house. Mary spent her last few years at Swan Manor Facility. The family would like to thank the ladies at Swan Manor and Faith Community Hospice for their care of our special lady. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and all 9 siblings, her husband L.P. Bolmanskie, daughter, Rosemary Bolmanskie, and grandson, Stoney Lee Bolmanskie. She is survived by her sons Robert (Betty) and Johnny (Jamie), grandchildren Rebecca Wilborn, Marquita (Jason) McGlaun, Andrea (Chris) Kirkpatrick, Cody Bolmanskie and Carli Bolmanskie, as well as 6 great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Cody Bolmanskie, Jason McGlaun, Joe Lee and Stephen Poutra. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your church or charity of choice.

Mary has been a member of St. John 's UMC since 09-09-90 and although she has been unable to attend services for several years we have still prayed for her regularly. There will be several of her long time friends that attend the services today. Prayers for peace and comfort for the family.

This is an edit to earlier post....
Mary, would you please give Stoney a big hug and tell him I love and miss him every day of my life and I will see him on the other side. Thanks and love....

Mary was indeed an exceptional cook. At every family gathering, at some point we would hear her say "Oh, shoot, I burned the bread again!" Then she would laugh and so would the rest of us. She was also an avid gardener. She loved her plants and flowers and would always give Betty and me plants to take home. Although they didn't usually live very long, she would always give us some more and say 'try again.'
Mary was a very kind and generous lady. The world was a little better off with her in it. Rest in Peace, Nanny Mary...…Love from Jo Anne

Johnny and Robert. I am so very sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. I did get to meet her when we were in high school. A wonderful, caring lady. May she rest in the arms of GOD forever.
