Rayburn Glynn Harmon 85, of Cove, Texas, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 in Baytown, Texas. “Glynn” was born in Dew, Texas on March 10, 1933 to parents Clinton “Dick” Harmon and Mary Clark Harmon. He graduated from Barbers Hill High School in 1951 and then attended the University of Houston. He married the love of his life, Genevieve Irish, in the summer of 1953. He was then drafted into the U.S. Army in 1954 and proudly served his country for two years. He served in Europe as well as here in the U.S. Upon his return home he began a long career, at Goodyear Tire and Rubber, spanning 38 years. His favorite past-time was hunting with his twin brother, other family, and eventually his grandchildren.
Glynn was preceded in death by his parents named above; his twin brother, Rayford “Clark” Harmon; and a Granddaughter, Megan Lynn Harmon.
He is survived, and will be missed by his loving wife of 65 years, Genevieve (Irish) Harmon of Cove, TX; Daughter, Donnis Barrett and husband Doug, of Deer Park, TX; Son, Mitchel Harmon and wife Cyndi of Cove, TX; A Grandson, Jason Glynn Barrett, of Denver, CO; A Sister-in-Law, Mary Harmon of Mt. Belvieu, TX. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and a host of loving friends. Also left to miss him are special friends Reece and Aiden Baker, along with the very special “Harley”.
