Shirley White

Shirley White, of Baytown was born May 29, 1935, in Liberty, TX and was called home to meet her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, August 24, 2015. In her early years she was a Sunday school teacher and later in life worked in a retirement home in Baytown until ill health forced her into retirement. Shirley took every opportunity to minister the word of God, was a true ""prayer warrior"" who the whole family turned to in their time of need, and her compassionate care, love, and Christian guidance will be a sad loss for those who knew her.

Shirley was a dedicated, spirit filled Christian who will be sadly missed by her devoted husband, Billy Gene White, children, and family. Her undying love and prayers will not be forgotten by her daughter, Sherry Dando and her husband Steve, her son, Ricky Hare, and her loving sister, Ann Street and her husband Dick. Shirley was surrounded by her adoring grandchildren, James Turner and his wife Toni, Leah, Brittany, and Linsey Hare, and her five precious great grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 12 noon at the Norris Cemetery in Liberty County.
