Florence Bernell Millican, 83, of Beaumont, died Friday, September 1,2023 at her residence. Our Mom was the glue that holds this family together, she was an eternal peace maker, and just wanted everyone to be happy. She was a mentor, a friend, a wife, a mom, and Granny to all. No matter what each of was going through she always listened and kept all out secrets. She never met a stranger and always went out of her way to take care of others, and keep everyone happy, be there whenever anyone needed anything. She knew her way around a kitchen, and could cook anyone under the table. Her Sunday lunches always drew crowds of people and just like Jesus, she always managed to feed everyone. She was loved and admired by everyone she met, and was the perfect model of a woman, wife, Mother, Granny, and friend. Her relationship with our Daddy was a perfect image of true love, and how hard work, dedication, prayers and faith will keep a marriage, happy, strong and forever. What an awesome example she left for all who knew and loved her. Some of the things our Mom loved most were traveling, crafts, Sunday lunches and her favorite Christmas Eve with all the grandkids. Mom made every family member a Christmas stocking by hand. As each one either got married or had another great grandchild they would have a stocking the next Christmas. Each stocking was filled with love and prayers for each one of us. While she left a huge hole in our hearts, she also left us filled with wonderful unforgettable memories, that we can treasure and share with each other until we see here again.
