Dear JoAnn, Michael and James.
You may not remember me. I was married to your mother's niece, Becky Russell, who was the daughter of your mother's sister, Pauline Russell. I remember a get together at your parents' house in Beech Grove. Becky and I came up from Bloomington where we were students at Indiana University. I always enjoyed talking with your mother back in those days.
It is hard to lose a parent. Interestingly, my own father lived to be the same age as your mother 97. We can take comfort in the fact that we were all able to keep our parents for this long.

We were so saddened to learn of the passing of your mother, grandmother, and dear friend to so many . Our prayers are with your family that God will comfort you and bring to mind all the wonderful memories that Irma left us with. In 1977, I found myself to be a young single mother who needed someone to care for my child. Lloyd and Irma opened their home and their hearts to a six week old baby and provided a wonderful environment for him to grow in for several years. A special friendship developed between Irma and I that spanned four decades and that I deeply treasure. I will always long for just one more cup of coffee and family story at Irma's table. She deeply loved her family and loved to share stories, especially family vacations. She had just told me about purchasing a painting and talking the artist into letting her take it while it was still wet. I guess it was quite a challenge to keep it safe until it arrived home. Thank you Irma for everything. Our love and deepest sympathy to the family, Beth and Mike Nontell
