Sister Aloysius was born Annie Theresa Mannion in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, Ireland to Michael and Josephine Coffey Mannion. She entered the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word at St. Michael Convent, County Clare in June 1946. Sister consecrated her life to God through Profession of Perpetual Vows at Villa de Matel in Houston on December 8, 1954.
Sister Aloysius earned a Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Technology from Incarnate Word College, San Antonio, TX. Later, she graduated from Texas Women's University with a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration. With these qualifications, she gave excellent patient care in her role first as a Radiology Technician at Schumpert Hospital, Shreveport, LA; St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana, AR and St. Edward Hospital, Cameron, TX. She also served in ministry as the Clinical Lab Director at St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana, AR. Thereafter, she ministered in Administration at Seton Medical Center, Austin, TX; St. Patrick Hospital, Lake Charles, LA; St. Charles Hospital, Newellton, LA; St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana, AR; St. Bernardine Medical Center, San Bernardino, CA; Carrigoran House, Ireland; and St. Joseph Villa, Salt Lake City, UT. Towards the end of active ministry, Sister also served as Patient Representative at St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana, AR and St. Bernardine Medical Center, San Bernardino, CA. During Sister's many years in ministry, she expressed her deep love of God and her neighbor as a privilege to serve. She was grateful to her parents, to the Congregation, and, above all, to God Who blessed her and has accomplished in her the good she has done.
Sister Aloysius is survived by a brother: John Mannion of Ireland; five sisters: Ms. Ita Mannion, Mrs. Josie Gordon, Mrs. Pat Cadogan (Rose), Mrs. Michael Hallissey (Angela), and Mrs. Pat Healy (Eileen), all of Ireland.

Sister Aloysius's body will be received at the Immaculate Conception Chapel, Villa de Matel, 6510 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas at: 5:00 P.M. on Monday, December 17, 2018. followed by Evening Praise and a celebration of her life. Mass of Christian burial will be held in the Immaculate Conception Chapel at Tuesday, 10:30 A.M. on December 18, 2018. The Rite of Committal will follow at Villa de Matel Cemetery.
