He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Josephine Dumstorff; his wife of 65 years, Betty Dumstorff; and his siblings, Richard Dumstorff, Dennis Dumstorff, Genevieve Jung, Bernice Heilmann, Dorothy Davis and Florence Dumstorff. He is survived by his children, Deborah Classen, Steven Dumstorff, and David Dumstorff; grandchildren, Nicole Baum and Matthew Classen; great granddaughter, Clara Baum; siblings, Clarence Dumstorff, Orville Dumstorff, and Eileen Cooper. He was a dear uncle, cousin, and friend.

Virgil was a faithful member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Parish in Hecker. He retired from IL Power after more than 30 years of service and was a 50 year member of the IBEW. Virgil was a jack of all trades and proudly built two of the family homes. He was highly skilled at carpentry, mechanics and obviously electrical. He was handy and helpful! He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved the outdoors. After retirement, Virgil could often be found on his property working in the yard and cutting down trees in his woods. His kind heart and dedication to family will be missed.

To the Family of Virgil and Betty Dumstorff,
Please accept our most heartfelt love during this difficult time. We share in the loss of now both your parents. A finer couple God has not put on this earth. I believe that is why they were here so long, to serve as an example of how to love as God loves. We will think of them often with fond memories. We pray that your sorrow is short lived and your joy complete as you take comfort in their glory in being united with The Father.
God bless you as you serve Him in this world, as your parents did.

Just by chance Warren saw the sad news that Uncle Bud passed away. Both Warren and I send our sympathy to those near and dear to Uncle Bud. I fondly remember many happy fun times on Grandpa's farm almost every Saturday. I know that he will be missed but his memories will live on through those who knew him.

With Love, Donna and Warren Schenewerk
