August 19, 1912 – January 27, 2013
Yetta Feldman passed away on Sunday, January 27th, 5 months after her 100 birthday. Her end was peaceful and dignified, as was her long, rich life. Born in Salt Lake City in 1912, she also lived in Cheyenne, WY; South Bend IN; Mountain View, CA; and, for the past 15 years, in Seattle. During WWII, she and her husband Max were in Honolulu during the attack on Pearl Harbor, a seminal moment in their lives. She was the last of her generation, in her family, and was loved by all. She is survived by her three children: Linda Capell, Gary Feldman, and Richard Feldman, as well as seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on January 31, 2013, 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunset Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Bellevue, WA.

I join my brother in extending sympathies to the Feldman family. I also remember the office on Miami Street and the time Dr. Feldman removed a wart from my foot. I also read son Richard's occasional health columns in the Indianapolis Star. While I don't remember Mrs. Feldman, my parents probably knew her.

I was suprised and saddened to see this notice this morning. Growing up in South Bend I can still remember visiting Dr. Feldman at his office on Miami St. He was a caring and good man and I'm sure the same can be said about his wife. My condolences to the family.
