Charles Austin “Bud” Wood, 83, of Bentonville passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Mr. Wood was born October 19, 1935 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to the late Clevey and Valora Mae Johnson Wood. He was also preceded by a son, Terry Wood; 2 sisters, Lorene Morris and Ruby Tabors and a brother, Jim Wood. When the Glad Manufacturing plant began operation in Rogers, he began a more than 28 year career from which he retired. Charles enjoyed fishing and playing cards. For 60 years he was the loving husband of Beverly Frances Williams Wood who survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Darlene Wood of Bentonville; his sons, Everett Wood and partner, Stacy Whitmire, of Centerton, Eric Wood of Bentonville and Lee Wood of Texas; Marie Bayless and Jeanne “Sis” Teel of Oklahoma and Linda Purdy and husband, Ray, of Texas; 7 grandchildren; extended family members and dear friends. Mr. Wood’s Memorial Service will be at 6:30pm, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Condolences may be expressed at www.CallisonLoughFH.com
