Catherine M. Schult, 94, of Citrus Springs passed away peacefully at Vitas Hospice House in Lecanto on Saturday, January 5th, 2019. Catherine was born in Waterbury, CT on January 3, 1925 to the late Lendor J. and Hariet (Howard) Masse. Catherine married her late husband, Robert M. Schult in November of 1952 and the couple built a new home and moved to Long Island where the couple raised their two daughters. Catherine worked as a bookkeeper and Robert a funeral director until their retirement. Catherine and Robert moved to Citrus Springs in 1979 and were active “pioneer” parishioners at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where she served as an officer of the Women’s Council for many years. Catherine is survived by her daughter Mary Catherine and husband Albert D. Glazer, second daughter Patricia (Trish) M. Schult and her beloved grandson, Michael J. Schult who moved home from Alaska to help care for his “Gram” during her illness. A wake will be held Tuesday, January 8th from 6 – 8 pm at Fero Funeral Home in Beverly Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 9th at 9:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Citrus Springs with Rev. Greg Andrews, Rev Sojan Punakkattu and Rev. Msgr. George W. Cummings presiding. The members of the Community of Catholic Women will lead a Rosary prior to the Mass. Interment immediately following Mass at Fero Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Vitas Hospice House in Lecanto. The family also gives great thanks to the nurses and entire staff of Hospice House for the loving care given to their Mom in her final months.
