I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. She was such a special lady! I remember so fondly her leadership at 66th Street Baptist where I attended many years ago. Both she and Mr. Martin were such a joy. I ran into her several times over the years while shopping in Trussville, and it was always so pleasant to visit with her. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry for your loss. I just saw it online. Had not seen Aunt Betty in a few years but have wonderful memories of her and Uncle James over the years growing up. God bless your family.

Carey and Carol, I hate that we missed your Mom's service. She was a very special lady for which we will have always have fond memories. I know she is rejoicing in Heaven now and has rejoined hands with your Dad. Our prayers are with you and your families for our Heavenly Father to wrap his arms around you to give you comfort and strength as you go through this time of sorrow. We are here if you need us.

Carol and Carey, we are so sorry for y'all. I don't remember my life before y'all were in it! Your family holds a special place in all our hearts and we'll be praying for you in the days to come. As you know we are in Arizona right now and not able to be there. I wish I was there for you as well as to be with Mother. She's upset as she's lost a very dear long time friend. She told me last night "I just can't believe Betty's not still here." We all know she's in a better place now and it's the ones of us left here who will suffer without your mother. I won't say I'm sorry you "lost" her because you don't lose something when you know where it is and we all know where your mother is! We love you!

Betty was the best aunt a person could have wanted. She was only 16 when I was born and served as my primary baby sitter. We remained very close all my life even though I lived in the Chattanooga area most of my working years. She will be missed by many, but is in a better place with the Lord with no pain or worries any longer. My condolences to Betty's children and grandchildren.
