I also met Jerry in P.C. in 1977. We worked for Ed and hung out with Animal, Max, Mike, and many others. There was a time when I considered Jerry to be my best friend. He also visited the Sipsey River Hunting Club with me on several occasions. I only look at the B'ham news occasionally and I hope God sent me here today. As I read about the survivors, Chris, Jerry, and the rest, it makes me feel good to know he was close to family. Maybe someday I can tell the grand kids that Maynard was a major dude. Surf's up. It saddens me deeply to hear this news. Jerry (Maynard) as I knew him when we were teenagers, dancing all nite at the Hang Out in Panama City, was so sweet and so much fun to be around.. My memories of him are very fond. I'm so sorry for your loss.. Just know he was loved dearly by many from way back; probably a lot of people you've never even heard of. May God's Holy Spirit give you great strength to get thru this sad time and comfort you during the days, weeks, and months ahead..
Sincerely,

Carolyn (Pee Wee)
