The first time we met Martha at the apartments visiting Marie Neighbors, we knew she was our kind of people; golfer-friendly and spoke her mind.
She was like the official greeter at the Apartments and a finer choice could not be found. The last time I saw her at the Clay House, I asked her to go golfing with me and she said, "Maybe another time." Maybe another time indeed on that wonderful 18 holes in heaven. Your honors Martha.
Blessings to her and family.

I have many fond memories of Martha, most dearly as the grandmother of my two children. As a grandmother she was uncompromisingly devoted to her grandchildren, all of them.

I admired and respected Martha for many reasons. She was resilient, a life-long learner, and she consistently strove to do what she believed to be the right thing. And she was devoted in her faith.

But no remembrance of her would be complete without mentioning that she was always kind to me. For that I will always remember and be eternally grateful.

May her family find strength and peace, and may Martha find the eternal peace she richly deserves.

I always remember Martha's cheerfulness and realistic outlook when I would talk to her on the front porch of the apartments at St. Martins. She was always so proud of Catlin V and the work he had done renovating my Mother's (Mary Pate) house on Glenview Drive. Peace be with your family. Emily Keller and Mary Pate

Martha was always very friendly when I came to visit my mother at the Cottages. I am sorry to hear of her passing.
