Sylvia L. Nettleman
February 17, 1927 – December 4, 2011
Nettleman, Sylvia L. age 84 of Birmingham passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011. She served in the U.S. Air Force at SAC HQTRS for two years. She was employed by Southern Bell for ten years. She was a devoted mother and spouse for 56 plus years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Willie Lang; and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald Nettleman; sons, Thomas “Tom” and Joseph “Joey” Nettleman; daughter, Laura Nettleman; grandchildren, Drew, Lindsey, Sarah, and Jeana; brothers, Roy and Bobby Lang; sisters, Mary Sue Glidewell and Willie Bevis. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 10:00-12:00 noon at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. Graveside services will follow the visitation at Valhalla Cemetery.
