Candida Estrada (Morfi) of Bloomfield, NJ died peacefully on February 25, 2020, at the age of 97. Candida was born on March 18, 1922, in the City of Limonar, Matanzas Province, Cuba to Candido and Rosa Morfi. The youngest of eight siblings, Candida immigrated into the United States at the age of 27 and made a living as an accomplished seamstress having fitted the likes of Jackie Kennedy and Carol Burnett. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all those who knew her. Candida’s boundless joy and quick-witted humor will be fondly remembered by everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Candida is survived by her children, Ronald Estrada and William Estrada of Bloomfield, New Jersey. Her legacy also continues via her grandchildren Sandy Estrada, Christopher Erwin, and Anthony Barille. She is preceded in death by her children Philip Estrada and George Estrada Jr. Visiting Hours will be held Friday, February 28th from 5-7pm., at the Zarro Funeral Home, 145 Harrison Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 (www.zarrofuneralhome.net).
