Delores Mae Owen, 87 of Bloomington passed away at her residence Thursday July 23, 2020. She was born September 30, 1932 to Horton Clark and Mildred Ramsey Clark in Bloomington, IL. She married Billy Owen November 23, 1958. He preceded her in death June 24, 1999. She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Lonnie) Joyner; Peggy Johnson, Karyn Hasselbring, and Karol Johnson, ladies who were like daughters to her; two granddaughters Rita Haydock and Aundrea Joyner; one grandson Lonnie R. (Jill) Joyner; one great-grandson Colton Joyner; and step-grandchildren Amanda and Josh Haydock. She was preceded in death by husband Billy, and parents Mildred and Bill Kellems. Delores worked at Beichs Candy for 42 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Bakery and Confectionary Union, she served as President for 2 years. She belonged to many organizations such as the Moose Lodge, Eagles and the American Legion Post 624. She will be remembered as a loving and adventurous mother, who loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a friend to all animals but loved her cats the most. The family would like to thank Mike Quinn for being a helpful friend to Delores. A graveside service will be held Friday July 31, 2020 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made in Delores name to the Humane Society of Central Illinois.

REST IN PEACE . Lovely Lady
Deloris was a Floor leader on the chocolate line when I started at Nestle in 1986.. She was a very lovely and extremely Kind Lady, She expected the job she taught you to be done correctly and took Pride in her Line and making Production.. She was also a Union President and she was very knowledgeable about how to represent a worker who may have job related issues.. I am honored our paths crossed.. Rest in Peace LOVELY LADY

I worked with Delores at Beich/Nestle. She helped trained me on the Katy-Did line. She also taught me so much about the union. I had respect for her and always enjoyed her smile.
