Bloomington – Dorothy Jean Sutter, 93, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Heritage Health in Bloomington.

Dorothy was born June 24, 1924, in Toulon, the daughter of Emmett Brooks and Mattie Jean Warren Scott. She married Paul Sutter on February 5, 1955 in Bloomington. He survives.

Also surviving are their children, Ron (Maryann) Sutter of Wheaton; and Debbie (Reed) McDaniel of Milan; three grandsons, R.J. (Helen) McDaniel of Milan; Jared (Mackenzie) McDaniel of Fitchburg, WI; and Jordan (Meghan) McDaniel of Middleton, WI; four great-grandchildren; Aaliyah, Jasmine, Reed III, and Declan; three sisters, Essie Allen; Juanita Pike; and Betty Skaggs. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.

Dorothy loved spending time with her family. She loved cooking and baking. She was known to make the best Christmas cookies.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Committal service will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be shared with the family at eastlawn-bloomington.com.
